But my opinion is that when any issue related to larger public interest and development of the city is concerned, an individual's opinion should not come as a hurdle in the project.'' <br /><br />Senior Congress leader and guardian minister for suburban Mumbai, Arif Naseem Khan, too, echoed similar views. "Development of the city is the need of the hour. At present, there is no east-west connectivity in Mumbai. Metro II will enable this connectivity and save the time of commuters,'' he said. <br /><br />The second phase of Mumbai Metro is a nearly 32 km route connecting Charkop in the north to Mankhurd in the east. The route will criss-cross all three railway lines (Western, Central and Harbour). The route from Charkop will pass through Andheri-Parle, Bandra and then to Mankhurd via Kurla. <br /><br />Commenting on the issue in his blog, the Big B mentioned that the Metro line would go near his Prateeksha bungalow and would invade his privacy as people could peep into his home. <br /><br />However, reacting to the issue, Khan said, "If Bachchansaheb has any problem, he can register his complaint with the MMRDA officials.
